 1. Q: How many tournaments do I need to play in? 
    A: You can play as many or as few tournaments as you like. 
       The only requirement is that you must play in 2 individual stroke play events 
       to qualify to play in the Club Championship.

 2. Q: Do I have to enter my own Men’s Club tournament scores? 
    A: Usually our Tournament Coordinator will enter all scores for you.
       In Match Play rounds, you should enter your score the same as you do with any round of golf you play.
       A convenient way to do this is by installing the GHIN app on your smart phone.
       West Woods Golf Club no longer maintains a computer for you to enter scores.
       You must do this on your own for casual rounds played.

 3. Q: How do I sign up for a tournament? 
    A: After you become a member, you will be registered in Golf Genius.
       You can then go to:
              http://wwgc-westwoodsmensclub2021.golfgenius.com
       to login.
       You can also download the Golf Genius app to your smart phone.
       When tournaments are opened for signup, you will receive an email with instructions.
       You will be notified a couple of days before the event via e-mail what your tee time is and who is in your foursome.

 4. Q: Do I usually play with golfers who have similar handicaps? 
    A: Yes, most tournaments are set up by flights based on handicaps. 
       We do have some number of tournaments where you can pick your partner who may have a different handicap range. 
       We also have some ABCD events where you will play with a wide range of golfers with varying handicaps.

 5. Q: How much do the tournaments cost? 
    A: You will pay $20 over and above the cost for normal greens fees (and cart if used).
       $2 extra if you want range balls.
       All winnings are paid out in pro shop credits. 
       In addition to the $20 per man, the Men’s Club contributes money out of the general fund towards payouts. 

 6. Q: What if I already have a CGA handicap paid for this year through another Men’s Club or through a private Club?
    A: You still pay the normal $110. The CGA requires a GHIN fee for every club. This has changed from past years.

 7. Q: What else is included in my dues? 
    A: You will receive a discount in the restaurant and in the pro shop on all of your purchases. 
       You will also be provided with drink tickets or meal vouchers during various events during the year.

 8. Q: What if I don’t have a handicap? 
    A: Once you join the Men’s Club, we will establish a GHIN number for you. 
       You are then required to enter in your last 5 scores, identify the date, course and tees and you are on your way. 
       If you do not have the actual scores and dates, you will be asked to be as accurate as possible 
       and we are happy to help you with this process.
